yes, on thursday i had my polio/tet jab. it really was horrible. today is saturday and my arm still is numb and its stinging. half an hour after the jab i fell to my knees in pain. then for some "sympathy" cherrytoast ran up from behind and hugged me - unsurprisingly i fell into a wall and onto the floor. thanks cherry.
(i feel like john mccain)
tonight i'm going to great expectations at the Library theatre. that should be good, then back for a study session (uch, physics module). though the play will be a nice break, i've never been a huge fan of Dickins but it is one of his finest. last play i saw was at the Royal Exchange - A Taste of Honey. naturally, it's my favourite play with it's gritty realism, black comedy and close-to-Manchester-close-to-the-heart script.
i'm supposed to be reading Sartre's book on Baudelaire (that's overdue now) and Crime and Punishment, though i'm into grapes of wrath which i bought for 30p at a library sale. i wonder why they wanted to give that one away. because there are loads of books in the philosophy section which haven't been read since the 70's, why not sell those - i'd buy them!
it's been a while since i posted a blog, in that period of time i went to andalucia, spain (the photograph i will be posting) and took some lovely photos on my SLR, though i am not yet graced with the gift of a scanner. i've also taken a physics mock and have just bought my ticket to see the Penguin Cafe.
And on one final note, the Renault Floride celebrates it's 50th anniversary this week. it may just be my favourite car (as well as the nissan figaro of course)
